First, lets find each Brown child's age.
Lynn = 19
Kelly = 13
Stephanie - 3 = Jenny & Jamie
Jamie = 12 (so Jenny = 12, too)
So this means Stephanie = 15
Gina = 10
Scott = 16.
We know Michael was born in 1999, therefore he is younger than Scott. But the riddle says Michael was the family's first son....
Therefore, Scott must be adopted. :)
